WordPress 6.9, scheduled to be released in december, will among other things add support for notes. With notes a user can add comments – or reply to existing comments – to blocks. These comments can also be marked as resolved.
This is very useful feature for websites with many users involved and where users work together on blog posts and website pages.
Just take a look at our example below:

We are happy to announce that Simple History will have support for notes from day 1 and we have support for logging the following to the event log:
- new notes
- note replies
- note marked as resolved
- note marked as re-opened (unresolved)
- note marked as deleted
All the above actions will show up in the log, making it very easy for users to follow what’s going on on their website.
So for the example above this would end up something like this.
